JennaClaire sighting in Hawaii…

Friday, August 6th, 2010

Thanks to Kathie Gilmore for sending us this pic of our Wrist Candy!  Kathie found it to be the perfect size to take on her vacation to Hawaii recently.

Speaking of traveling… stay tuned for a fabulous NEW travel/overnight duffle coming soon!  You read it here first; watch for the Madison to make its debut by fall.  Hmmmmm…maybe a staff trip to Hawaii is necessary to road test the Madison :)

Meet Sally!

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

We would like to introduce you to our summer intern, Sally Burns.  Sally will be a senior at Purdue University next year majoring in Apparel Design and Technology, minoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  She will be with us through July 31st and has already contributed many fabulous ideas to our product line.  She will be designing at least 4 new bags for us (wait until you see them!) which we will roll out during the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 seasons.

Sally says, “As soon as I heard about JennaClaire, I instantly became a huge fan and was eager to learn more!  What’s not to love about getting to design your own handbag?  I love the hands-on approach that JennaClaire offers and am honored to get the privilege of being the 2010 summer design intern.  I’m so excited about this summer and am anxious to help with the design of the bags JennaClaire offers!  The ladies at JennaClaire and I have been bouncing ideas back and forth and I feel like we’re onto something good.  I can’t wait to help with the design of several new bags for JennaClaire!”

Sally, we are thrilled to have you aboard and can’t wait to reveal your new designs!

It’s a Bracelet, It’s A Purse Hanger!

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

We are so excited about a new accessory available at the studio!  The FUMI (Functional, Unique, Multi-Purpose Innovation) is a bangle bracelet available in 3 styles which doubles as a purse hook.  Because of its hinged design, you can open it and hook one side over a table (or stall door!!) and hook your bag on the otherside.  You can either wear it on your arm or hook it around your handbag strap as an accessory.

For a video demonstration please click  here.

They’re hot, and we have ‘em in lots of colors and sizes.  These are flying off the shelf…get in to the studio today to get yours!

Introducing Sarah, Our Newest Bag!

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Sarah Bag

We’re very happy to introduce our newest bag, the Sarah!  It’s a multi-functional bag…large handbag, tote bag, even a diaper bag.  The straps can be lengthened/shortened to go across your chest or over stroller handles.  It has a large zip pocket inside as well as a large patch pocket divided into roomy thirds.  It is ready to order online in a rainbow of colors, or stop by our store to see for yourself!

JennaClaire Studio has a strong belief in supporting our local non-profit organizations.  “Sarah” was inspired by and created in memory of Sarah Ann Whittaker.  Sarah was a bright, energetic, loving 16 year old Greenville, Ohio High School student and dear friend of a JennaClaire staff member, who completed suicide in January, 2008.    A portion of the proceeds collected through the sale of the Sarah Bag will help raise funds for Project Brite Star. A chapter of the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program since 1998, PROJECT BRITE STAR, “Bringing Realistic Information To Every Sensitive Teen At Risk”, is a local (Beavercreek, Ohio) outreach program designed to educate our youth about depression and to prevent teen suicide.  The program offers a simple way for teens to reach out for help.  Project Brite Star has now expanded their services to Greenville High School in Sarah’s hometown.

For more information on Project Brite Star, please visit their website or call 937-372-0745.  To support the Sarah Whittaker Memorial Scholarship, you are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Sarah Run on Friday June 11 or Saturday June 12 in Greenville, Ohio.  For more information call 937-417-1835.  This scholarship fund has been set up with the HOPE Foundation of Darke County. Following the very unexpected death of Sarah, her family, particularly her father Allen, has embarked on a mission to make something good and positive out of such a tragedy. Allen says, “Sarah wanted to be a teacher.  and in a sense she is…we are just helping her”.  His mission is to teach students to keep life’s problems in proper perspective and to realize all things can be resolved. He feels that if his efforts can help just one child or family avoid a similar situation, then he has done his job. Sarah’s scholarship fund, established in her loving memory, is focused on assisting other Darke County students who desire to become teachers, as Sarah did.
